On May 5th, a Request for Proposal, was approved by City Council to begin the process of hiring an environmental consultant to assist the City with preparing the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) Project. The EIR is an important document for the WRRF Project, and getting started on the EIR process early will allow the City to obtain low interest State Revolving Fund loans, along with other grants, while maintaining project schedule. The goal of the WRRF Project team is to obtain 15 million dollars in grant monies for the Project to offset the costs to the City ratepayers.
The consultant, Rincon, was hired in July of 2015 and is currently working with the WRRF Project team to develop the EIR. We are happy to have them on the team and look forward to working with them.
